Singer/songwriter and piano player Paivi Sihvonen is newer name under the worldwide music scene, and artist from Finland. She works under the artistic name – Piper, and these days she has released a debut album, called “What Is The Heart For? with 9 tracks in, followed previously  with couple of singles.

She has a beautiful voice, and with her vibrant melancholic vocal approach, together with piano, she tells her also melancholic stories full of sadness, which are filled with a similar atmosphere. The album was made in collaboration with Saku Anttila, who arranged the songs and played all the other instruments. And there’s no doubt, his role on the release is exceptional. The similar atmosphere, as I have mentioned is dominate factor of Paiva’s autorship.
It should be noted that the identical manneristic approach follows the songs from the album. All other details are done technically clearly and convincingly.
