We have here a new and fresh album of Euphemia Rise, known project of Wim Lankriet, songwriter and multi -instrumentalist from Brussels, Belgium. “Born a Cow” is a first full-length, with 8 tracks in, written and recorded between February and May 2021.

As an author said, songs from the album are about seamy sides of life. Also, author wanted “the lyrics to be candid, shameless and dark, but in a way that would make people feel good about themselves, and provide comfort and self-acceptance”. Wim has also written, performed and produced all the tracks from the album.

Dark and psychedelic atmosphere is something expecting here and there, but various atmosphere changes, and vibrant performing ideas are recognizable elements of Wim’s creations. Retro elements are also part of delivering songs pastiches, but under the mentioned genre’s forms, Euphemia Rise sounds fresh and maybe not so modern, but absolutely authentic.
