David Gerald, the son of Rural Mississippi born and raised parents, grew up to the sounds of the blues and R&B music in his hometown, Detroit. He’s the youngest of 11 children, 6 of whom were born and partly raised in Mississippi. „Because segregation and racial discrimination were so bad in Mississippi at the time, my dad moved the family north to Detroit when he was 33, so we’d have a better chance at the American dream.“

The Circus In Flames is pleased to announce the release of „Outside America“, the band’s latest CD on the Northern Electric label.  With this recording, Vancouver singer songwriter Doug Andrew returns with his latest offerings and The Circus In Flames deliver their best album yet.  Present again is the ‘dark folklore’ in the group’s ‘original, string band music of the Canadian south’, a unique folk, country, blues sound driven by Andrew’s songs but this time it also resonates with the influences of gospel and r’n’b, as well as the anthology of american folk music.  On „Outside America“ the songs and The Circus are now older, wiser and grittier.

Billy White Jr titled his 2010 1st album, “Just Another Guitar Player From Texas”, but he’s much more than that. According to Vintage Guitar Magazines review of it he’s probably, “the best guitar player you’ve never heard”. That 1st record also covered a lot of musical ground including rock, r’n’b, country and acoustic singer songwriter in an effort to showcase the wide variety he has written and performed.

Elisabeth Carlisle’s new release, „Beyond These Walls“, is a song about the strength to break down walls that life can put up sometimes. Although inspired by her husband’s personal battle with multiple myeloma cancer, the song is meant to give encouragement to those facing any struggle that may seem to be insurmountable, yet through love and faith we can go ‘beyond these walls’.

Low Land Home is the perfect safe place for melancholic souls. This Ghent (BE) based band came about in 2016 when frontman Jo Geboers started writing songs in his bedroom about the dark edges of life, and he soon was accompanied by Jolien Bové, Muriel Boulanger en Pieter-Jan Jordens. It’s no wonder that a band consisting of three psychologists and a self-declared philosopher cuts deep in the human vulnerabilities, whether they shed light on doubts, fears or other demons. These four merge familiar human thoughts with touching vocals, minimalistic piano melodies and protrusive rhythms into a goosebumps-inducing experience.

Pocket Size Sthlm is the brainchild of composer/guitarist Peter Pedersen. This conceptual musical unit was brought into daylight early 2010. There were some ideas and fragments of songs floating around in the pool of creativity. They were developed together with others.
