Punk rock/garage rock – SCOTLAND

Out of Glasgow, Scotland, comes a band called The Red Lite District. They work in a quartet formation, and „You Were Never In Love“ is one of the songs from their forthcoming EP.

The Scottish fellows are musically pretty sincere in their opinions, and expressively know how to present their ideas. Their music possesses sharpness in textual and performing approach, with evident melodic lines and traces. Even the band members mentioned grunge as one of the genres that is present in their sound, in my opinion, their style is a combination of punk rock and garage elements, with the influences from the late 70s and early 80s being clear and noticeable. But, that’s quite ok, relevant and convincing enough.
„You Were Never In Love“ is also one of the songs whose way of interpretation can be convincing in concert performances.
