Out of Edmonton, Alberta comes a duo made up of mother and daughter Wendy Gregson & Renee McLachlan, who have already received some recognition in a relatively short period of time. First, their self-titled debut was released in 2018, and it was an EP, while their current album has been partly supported in its release by the „Alberta Foundations Of The Art“.
Wendy Gregson has been on the scene for quite some time, and her daughter Renee McLachlan first joined her in 2014. Together, they perform a subtle, gentle, almost ethereal take on folk/indie folk, with roots music elements, where atmosphere plays an extremely important role. Harmonic and gentle unison voices are present in practically all compositions at the entire material, where we can find, 7 tracks.
They are consistent, and a very clear concept, which is musically very „soothing,“ and is offered as a ‘gift’ to the listener, who in this form gets certain folk „images“ from the past, as well as the sound of the local time. This is a pleasant album to listen to, with very well-coordinated arrangements and appropriate instrumental passages.

Njih dve zajedno izvode jednu suptilnu, umilnu, gotovo medijalnu varijantu folk/indie folka, sa roots music uključivanjima, gde atmosferičnost ima izuzetno važnu ulogu.
Harmonični i nežni unisoni glasovi prisutni su praktično u svim kompozicijama na kompletnom materijalu, gde možemo naći 7 numera. Oni su koherentni i imaju veoma jasnu koncepciju, koja je muzički vrlo „umirujuća“, i nudi se kao „poklon“ slušaocu,, koji u ovom obliku dobija određene narodne „slike“ iz prošlosti, kao i zvuk sadašnjeg vremena. Ovo je prijatan album za slušanje, sa vrlo dobro usaglašenim aranžmanima, i prikladnim instrumentalnim prilozima.
