Eileen Rose’s long career has had several phases and periods, a lot of recognition, and different reflections through various forms of musical exploration and work in this and that direction. It seems that her current album, „Insanitia,“ represents a deep cross-section of her experience, where, through 12 compositions, some original, some by other established authors, the richness of her expression reaches, one could say, a kind of pinnacle.
The representative team of collaborators enriched the overall picture of the album with their musicianship, and the energy of this singer-songwriter, at times so reminiscent of Chrissie Hynde at the start of her career, combined with explorations through various forms and songs by other authors, among which I would highlight her version of the Los Lobos classic „Will The Wolf Survive?“, makes the work even more impressive and very colorful. Melodiousness and youthful energy accompany all the compositions present here, as well as the production work, in which Eileen, Andrea Parodi, and Rich Gilbert were all involved together.
On the album itself, we find a mix of melodic rock, country rock, roots music, Americana, and all the songs have, I would add, a noticeably different energy that reflects both Eileen Rose’s personality and her performance determination.
Dugogodišnja karijera Eileen Rose imala je više faza i perioda, puno priznanja i različitih ogledanja kroz razne forme muzičkih istraživanja i delovanja u tom i takvom smeru. Tako se čini i da aktuelni album „Insanitia“ predstavlja dubok presek njenog iskustva, gde kroz 12 kompozicija, što autorskih, što radova drugih etabliranih autora, raskoš njenog izraza dolazi do nekakvog može se reći vrhunca.
Reprezentativna ekipa saradnika svojim muziciranjem obogatila je sliku kompletnog albuma, a energija ove kantautorke i pevačice, na momente toliko bliska recimo Chrissie Hynde sa početka karijere, uz dodatak ogledanja kroz razne forme, ali i pesme drugih autora, gde bih izdvojio njenu verziju Los Lobos klasika „Will The Wolf Survive?“, većim delom, je impresivna i vrlo koloritna.
