Before us is an interesting release, which primarily originated as a project of musician and producer Edge Dennis from „Berklee College Of Music“, and from that project, the band was formed. This is how Blitz realized their first album, with the idea of crossing a comic story through musical execution.
The story takes place in the imaginary year 2066, and through 10 songs, the group creates a kind of symbiosis of story and sound, which represents a combination of rock, metal, and industrial. In their case, industrial as a genre is more reflected in a heavy, raw, mechanical sound, much less in electronics, which is a rare case today on the scene. The instrumental part is more „human,“ and the combination of solid metal and rock shapes their approach and overall attitude.
The album should be viewed as a conceptual whole, and the tracks are stylistically close to each other. The sound is production-wise modernized, and it seems that in a simple but effective way, the composition has managed to create the imagined ideas.
Pred nama je intersantno izdanje, koje je prevashodno nastalo kao projekat muzičara i producenta Edge Dennisa sa „Barklee College Of Music“, a iz tog projekta nastao je i bend. Tako su Blitz realizovali svoj prvi album, sa idejom da se ukrsti comic priča kroz muzičku realizaciju.
Radnja se dešava u imaginarnoj 2066-oj godini, a sastav kroz 10 pesama stvara svojevrsnu simbiozu priče i zvuka, koji predstavlja kombinaciju rocka, metala i industriala. U njihovom slučaju, industrial kao žanr se više ogleda u teškom, sirovom mehaničkom zvuku, mnogo manje u electronici, što predstavlja redak slučaj danas na sceni. Svirački deo je „humaniji“, i spoj čvrstog metala i rocka oblikuje njihov pristup i generalni stav.
Album treba posmatrati kao konceptualnu celinu, a presme su stilski bliske jedna drugoj. Sound je produkcijski osavremenjen, i čini se da na jednostavan, ali efektan način, je sastav uspeo da kreira zamišljene ideje.
