Progressive black/death metal – USA
From Denver, Colorado comes the band Prophets Tomb, which works as a trio. Their discographic activity began in 2021, when they released the album „The Third Wave.“ The second release, „Magni Mori,“ saw the light of day in 2023, and the latest work came out just under a year ago. „Through Pain“ is the name of the album that features 7 songs.
In the band’s approach, there are many experimental details, and in a way, it can be said that the performers try to transcend genre boundaries. Their expressive style could be described as progressive blackened/death metal, through which frequent changes in rhythm, mood, and partially hidden electronic additions are constantly inserted, where the vocal delivery can, in certain segments, „veer“ in an unexpected direction.
In the mentioned experimental way, instrumental communication also relates to each other, occasionally stepping out of the conventional black/death frameworks. In any case, this group attempts, and seems to succeed, in offering its own expressive vision, and it seems that they largely succeed in doing so.

Njihova diskografska aktivnost krenula je 2021-e godine, kada objavljuju album „The Third Wave“.Drugo izdanje „Magni Mori“ ugledalo je svetlo dana 2023-e, a aktuelno ostvarenje pre nešto manje od godinu dana. „Throug Pain“ je naziv albuma na kojem se našlo 7 songova.
U samom pristupu benda egzistira puno eksperimentalnih detalja i na neki način može se reći da izvođački pokušavaju da preskaću žanrovske okvire. Njihova izražajna varijanta mogla bi se opisati kao progressive blackened/death metal, kroz kojeg se konstantno ubacuju česte promene ritma, raspoloženja, polu skrivenih elektronskih dodataka, gde vokaliziranje zna da u određenim segmentima „skrene“ u neočekivanom pravcu.
Na pomenuti eksperimentalan način se međusobno odnosi i instrumentalna komunikacija, koja povremeno izlazi iz očekivanih black/death okvira. U svakom slučaju ovaj sastav pokušava i čini se uspeva da ponudi neko svoje izražajno viđenje, i čini se da im u dobroj meri to i uspeva.
