Mansfarroll is a Cuban percussionist and composer, based in France, who has so far released 3 albums together with the present. He is also recognized worldwide for collaborating with numerous international musicians, as well as for his way of musically exploring Cuban and African heritage.
„Africa si“, his current release, was recorded with a large group of musicians and the album features 10 tracks. The material itself „radiates“ a richness of colorful tones, whether it concerns „songful“ compositions or instrumental pieces. Throughout, we truly encounter a clash of Cuban and Afro motifs, where old influences and folklore merge with newer jazzy tendencies, rhythmic bravura, and musical interaction that is arranged in a very interesting way.
