The band CAMiNOS, led by guitarist and composer Germain Chaperon, recently released a self-titled EP featuring 5 compositions. Otherwise, the band performs in a quartet formation, which also includes singer Neda Cainero, bassist Marek Eichler, with his previous Czech-Dutch jazz rock heritage, and drummer Sven Clerx.
All members of the group are exceptionally talented musicians, whose dedication helps extract as much as possible from the music they perform. So what exactly does this band do and create? They are very inspired by the Mediterranean sound, Mediterranean heritage, and they also draw inspiration from the cultural legacy of India, Eastern Europe, and North Africa. Additionally, Spanish flamenco, as well as South American influences, are present in their style of interpretation and thinking. In their case, the form of performance is completely free, often extremely unexpected, as are the playing transitions, often changing rhythms and unexpected playing improvisations. Neda Cainero’s vocals constantly elevate the atmosphere and energy of the music and songs, which ultimately creates an unusual, authentic image that this group produces. Their music is difficult to categorize by genre, as it shows a mix of multiple influences, multiple forms, where perhaps the Mediterranean pastiche, flamenco traces, and some typically their own fusion represent the characteristics of their musical creativity. A very successful and multi-layered debut, which demonstrates both the songwriting and performing qualities of the members.
Sastav CAMiNOS predvođen gitaristom i autorom Germain Chaperonom, nedavno je objavio istoimeni EP na kojem se našlo 5 kompozicija. Inače sastav deluje u formaciji kvarteta, u kojem su još : pevačica Neda Cainero, basista Marek Eichler, sa svojim pređašnjim češko-holandskim jazz rock nasleđem i bubnjar Sven Clerx.
Inače u grupi su sve izuzetno kvalitetni muzičari, koji svojim angažovanjem doprinose da iz muzike koju interpretiraju, izvuku što je moguće više. I šta je zapravo ono što ovaj sastav radi i kreira? Veoma su inspirisani mediteranskom zvukom, mediteranskim nasleđem, a takođe inspiraciju nalaze u kulturnoj ostavštini Indije, Istočne Evrope i Severne Afrike. Takođe španski flamenco, kao i Južno Američki uticaji su prisutni u njihovom načinu interpretacije i razmišljanja.
U njihovom slučaju forma izvođenja je potpuno slobodna, često izuzetno neočekivana, kao i svirački prelazi, česte promene ritmova i neočekivane sviračke improvizacije.Vokal Nede Cainero sve vreme podiže atmosferu i energičnost muzike i pesama, što na kraju daje jednu nesvakidašnju autentičnu sliku, koju ova ekipa kreira. Njihovu muziku je teško žanrovski odrediti, i prisutan je miks više uticaja, više formi, gde je možda upravo mediteranski pastiche, flamenco tragovi i neki tipično njihov fusion, predstavljaju karakteristiku muzičkog stvaralaštva. Vrlo uspešan i višeslojan debi, koji pokazuje kako autorske, tako i izvođačke kvaliteta članova postave.
