Americana/roots music/folk/country rock – SWEDEN
Behind the name Catcher Evo stands the Swedish musician Stefan Leoson, who released a debut EP with 6 songs. The material was created with a group of collaborators and made in the style of the Americana/roots music tradition, with all the postulates of the genre and related stylistic forms.
With deep and powerful lyrics, and songs mostly done in a medium and slightly faster medium tempo, the Swedish musician, with his storytelling imagery, takes us through these various forms of roots music, where we find enough space for folk and country rock motifs, semi-ballads, and similar details. Certain comparisons reach as far as the legacy of Bruce Springsteen and Jackson Browne, specifically from the period of their early albums. And that alone can represent an additional plus. Stefan Larsson is a confident singer and knows how to vocally express the emotions he reflects through the songs. His material is highly reminiscent of the 70s and 80s period, and I believe that the production itself is set up that way.

Iza imena Catcher Evo stoji švedski muzičar Stefan Leoson, koji je realizovao debi EP izdanje sa 6 pesama. Materijal je urađen sa grupom saradnika i napravljen je u stilu Americana/roots music tradicije, sa svim postulatima žanra i bliskih stilskih formi. Sa dubokim i snažnim tekstovima, te pesmama urađenim uglavnom u srednjem i malo bržem srednjem tempu, švedski muzičar sa svojim storytelling slikama nas vodi kroz pomenute različite forme roots musica, gde nalazimo dovoljno prostora za folk i country rock motive, polu-balade i slične detalje. Određena poređenja idu do legacyja Bruce Springsteena i Jackson Browna, i to baš iz perioda njihovih ranih albuma. I to samo po sebi može predstavljati dodatni plus. Stefan Larson je siguran pevač i zna kako da u vokalnom smislu iskaže emocije koje reflektuje kroz pesme. Njegov materijal puno asocira i podseća na period 70-tih i 80-tih godina, i mišljenja sam da je i sama produkcija tako postavljena.
