Singer/songwriter and a person involved in various musical and cultural projects/actions, Liz Lenten, shows activity after a period of certain hibernation with her new album and her band (she was co-founder) Auburn. Her career, as well as her activities, have repeatedly attracted public and audience attention, and the fact is that her career is full of numerous events, successes, as well as interesting meetings.
„Behind The Scenes“ was recorded between the USA, UK, and Brazil, and included 32 collaborators. The album features 11 compositions, which move along a line from Americana/roots music to soulful pop, through subtle jazzy laid-back traces. The manner of performing, as well as her vocalizing, brings associations to some older, more innocent times, I would say the periods of the 1980s and 1990s. And that is not a bad thing; it even adds to the songs’ diversity, colorfulness, and variety. At times, her gentle singing initiates intimacy and atmosphere, and the fact is that the songs are arranged in such a way that they can become very close to you, of course, if you lean towards this kind of expressive form.
„Behind The Scenes“ contains consistent material, pleasant to listen to, which still demonstrates the high standards that this artist creates both as a songwriter and performer.
Singer/songwriter, i osoba uključena kroz razne muzičke i kulturološke projekte/akcije Liz Lenten, pokazuje aktivnost nakon perioda određene hibrnacije sa svojim novim albumom i njenim sastavom ( čiji je suosnivač) Auburn. Njena karijera kao i aktivnosti više puta su do sada imali pažnju javnosti kao i publike, i činjenica je da karijera obiluje brojnim događajima, uspesima kao i intersantnim susretima.
„Behind The Scenes“ je sniman između USA, UK i Brazila, i uključio je 32 saradnika. Na albumu se mogu čuti 11 kompozicija, koje se kreću u liniji između Americana/roots music, do soulful popa, preko umanjenih jazzy laid back tragova. Način muziciranja, kao i njenog vokaliziranja bude asocijacije na neka starija nevinija vremena, rekao bih periode 80-tih i 90-tih godina. I to nije ništa loše, čak samim pesmama dodaje na raznolikosti, koloritnosti, različitosti.
Na momente njeno nežno pevanje inicira intimnost i atmosferičnost, i činjenica je da su pesme tako postavljene, da vam mogu postati vrlo bliske, naravno ako naginjete ovakvoj vrsti izražajne forme.
