The Plastic Pals are a Stockholm based quartet who celebrated twenty years of existence last year. Over those two decades, counting their latest release , they’ve released four albums and played countless shows in cities like : New York, London, Liverpool, Milan, and, of course, all across Sweden’s club scene. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with names such as The Dream Syndicate, Chris Cacavas, Chuck Prophet, Dan Stewart, The Fleshtones, and The New Christs.
Their newest record, released in the first days of January 2026, also features some highly respected guests: Jonathan Segel, Chris Cacavas, Francesco Bonfiglio, Stiv Cantarelli, and Martin Ek.
The sound of this Swedish four piece is colorful and adventurous, yet effortlessly charming, packed with ideas and rich in form. They twist and bend styles their own way, juggling genres and shifting production approaches from song to song. The Plastic Pals blend power pop elements with indie rock attitude, leaving plenty of room for echoes of the ’80s and ’90s. What really hits is how naturally they bridge post new wave vibes with traces of roots music and Americana, and they make it feel completely their own. That’s the message running through their songs: fearless fusion, no boundaries, just pure expression.

I na aktuelnom izdanju koje se pojavilo prvih dana Januara 2026-e, na albumu su učešće uzeli cenjeni gosti kao što su : Jonathan Segel, Chris Cacavas, Francesco Bonfiglio, Stiv Cantarelli, Martin Ek. Izraz švedskog sastava je prilično koloritan, u isto vreme ništa manje izazovan, može se reći i šarmantan, bogat raznovrsnim idejama, kao i formom. Švedska četvorka se na svoj način poigrava stilovima, žanrovskim kombinacijama i realizatorskom postavkom, koja je u dobroj meri različita od pesme do pesme. The Plastic Pals kombinuju power pop idiome sa indie rockom, gde pronalazimo dovoljno prostora za uticaje pridošle iz 80–tih i 90-tih godina prošlog veka.
