Mark Sebastian is not an unknown figure on the global music scene. However, his career has followed an unconventional path, and mostly with little attention from the interested public for what he has done over the years. He is a singer-songwriter from Greenwich Village, and co-wrote the song with his brother, the famous hit „Summer In The City“ by The Lovin’ Spoonful.

Over the years, he showcased himself by making music with numerous artists, lived in Europe, and in some way engaged with electronic music there as well.
„A Trick of The Light“ is a current release featuring 9 songs, with a duration of about 34 minutes, and the album also includes such names as James Gadson (drums), Bob Glaub and Freddie Washington (bass), as well as Don Randi and Wah-Wah Watson. The songs explore themes of love, relationships, and personal struggles, where different expressive styles blend musically, ranging from Americana, through soul, pop, softened jazz elements, and a few other variations.

Although in terms of vocal ability, he does not have many vocal possibilities, his way of performing is quite emotional, and I would add sincere as well, which a potential listener can easily notice. „A Trick Of The Light“ is a pleasant release to listen to, harmonically convincing, done by someone with a lot of experience.
