Saodaj promotes an unconventional journey into the musical and creative world, combining the modern and the traditional, where boundaries in terms of authorship are created and set by the performers, who guide us through their artistic imagination.
Saodaj also creates an image of an endless picture, where texts in Creole and French search for beauty in the chaos of the world around us. They have been going on for ten years, and the music itself represents a colorful mix of rich rhythms, I would say sometimes overly nervous rhythmic changes, through which different genre forms peek through. Before us, through the eight songs presented here, is an unusual combination of world music tendencies, complemented by traces of folk and some alternative rock influences. The songs and themes are different from each other; it can be said that in the end they form some kind of connecting whole, although the listener does not necessarily have to perceive it that way in the end. Frequent dramatic and directorial scenarios dictate the psychology of the songs themselves, which represent an additional element that reveals how this team creates its story.
„Loder la vi“ represents a complex expressive work, which reveals itself over a longer listening process.
