Radio Tarifa is an act whose roots go back to 1985, and they released their first album, with which they achieved respectable success in 1993, and it was called „Rumba Argelina“. This team was inactive for a while due to the death of one of its founders, Benjamin Escoriza. The lineup includes two original members: Fain Sanches Duenas and Vincent Molino, who recently made an appearance with the release of the album „La Noche“. It contains 14 compositions, of which 4 are original and 10 are traditional.

With a larger group of collaborators and participants in the production of songs from the release, Radio Tarifa seems ready for a serious continuation of their story, which, for justified reasons, had been stalled at one point. The prepared material represents a serious engagement of the performers with tradition and the musical-life influences of the climates from which they come, as well as from various Mediterranean regions. The atmospheric quality of the songs delves into the very spirituality of the themes they address, whether they are about life or personal experiences, or carry the mark of the traditions of the regions where they originated. The listener can thus surrender to their emotions, where different types of empathy are expressed in interpretations, ranging from sadness and melancholy to the struggle in which the song, in a certain way, heals wounds.
„La Noche“ is an album that should be viewed as a kind of message from the past, translated into the present, where the performers show how well they know the tradition to which they are musically dedicated.
