American troubadour Dave Desmelik has been present on the indie scene for a long time. His work has long been recognized in the community focused on Americana and folk approaches, and it has been noted by numerous colleagues, as well as critics and audiences.

Believe it or not, he has released 19 albums, and his current product is „Among Friends“. What distinguishes this album is that „Among Friends“ is a tribute edition, featuring 9 out of 10 songs by his colleagues, to which he has given his interpretation and somewhat different versions in this release. One song is from the repertoire of one of his previous releases, done in a different version. All the things Mr. Desmelik has done with his own hands and voice, and a pleasant and warm atmosphere, are dominant factors of the complete atmosphere seen on the presented album’s material. Songs are done in mid, rarely mid-up tempo, some of them or also slower, but we can treat the album as a harmonious conceptual story.
