Out of Hamburg, Germany, comes the band Scotch & Water. They have started their discography story with the album from 2021, titled „Sirens“. After participating in several international festivals and gaining public recognition for their work, they prepared material for a new release.

„I Know My Identity, Right“?,  an actual EP release with 5 songs, appeared on the market at the end of May 2025. With the insightful lyrics, with an interesting and sensitive female voice, a group has offered a variant of indie pop, with dream passages and segments, which in certain elements remind me of the works of British groups from the late 80s and early 90s of the previous century. The atmospheric quality presented through the songs is the main asset of the group, through which the energy of all members is concentrated, as well as the performative intuition.
Scotch & Water has its style and way of thinking, although the influence from some past times is present and unavoidable.
