Ed Haaker is a performer who, in a way, started his musical adventure from the background. He began with his story as a kind of communication with his Pacific Islanders. His first album, which he released in 2019, is titled „South Seas Sojourn“.
„Born To Rock“ is his second release, and a side project, which he realized with a larger group of colleagues/musicians, who had their presence and role both as musicians and as lyricists and authors. The main role as a singer went to Keith Lynch, who also played solo guitar. Many of the actors present here are musicians with extensive experience, as well as awards they have received throughout their careers.
„Born To Rock“, as an album with 10 songs, takes us through various genre forms, from classic rock, through softened hard rock, blues rock, and Americana. There is also something else, but that is roughly what we can hear on this release. The songs also possess melody, leaning towards the 1980s. Yes, many vintage elements we can hear in this album, but that was a choice of Ed and his companions.
Production, as well as other technical details, also correspond to the psychology and mindset that emerged from the 1980s. Thus, fans of rock from that era will be more interested in this album.
