Maurice is a band of American singer, educator, and songwriter Amy Kyle. She grew up in the USA, played piano, and grew up also listening to the music of James Taylor, Billy Joel, and Chopin.

Later on, she moved to France, first sang in the clubs and bars, mostly jazz, and in 2021, she formed the band Maurice, with extraordinary musicians.
Her musical visions and views are not oriented to only one stylish and performing form. And her actual album is a combination of several genre idioms, which accompany different personal and emotional moods. With an intuitive instrumental accompaniment, also technically superbly arranged, Amy confronts songs that touch: jazz, Latin, fado, rock, pop idioms, but whose main strength lies in a somewhat idyllic atmosphere, and well-done arrangements.

Maurice offered an authentic style of their own, which we can’t fit into a specific time frame, but which is relevantly defined by the interests of Amy and her associates. „Bulldog“ as an album is made up of diverse, but listenable compositions, and you will certainly return to some of the ones present here more often.
