Iz Tulse, Oklahoma dolazi singer/songwriter, pijanista i harmonikaš Richie Lawrence. Iako je po godinama već u “vremešnoj” dobi, do sada se diskografski oglasio tek dva puta.

“Water” je njegovo drugo po redu ostvarenje, a na CD-u je utisnuto 12 plus jedan song. Album je snimio zajedno sa pratećim sastavom – The Yolos, a njegova autorska i izvođačka intersovanja sežu do americane i roots muzik tradicije, gde ima puno mesta za za country i waltzing ritmove i skrivene cajun varijacije. Odlikuje ga prijatno vokaliziranje, dobro odrađeni aranžmani, i generalno Mr. Lawrence je uspeo da se izbori za neki svoj stil, koji se ne može smatrati old-fashioned varijantom, iako vrlo često u svojim pesmama preuzima elemente iz muzike 30-tih i 50-tih godina prošlog veka. Prava country uspavanka “Fields Where They Lay” i instrumental “Poets Prayer”, predstavljaju ubedljivi završetak albuma.

Singer/songwriter, piano and accordian player Richie Lawrence was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and his musical and authors interesting spheres leads to americana and roots music theritories. ” Water ” is his second album, recorded together with band – The Yolos. There are 12 plus 1 song on CD, and Mr. Lawrence has offered a different but pleasent package of roots music views, country and waltzing rhythms, hidden cajun approaches, enjoyable vocalizations, and similiar listenable atmosphere, presents through complete materials as well. He isn’ t a old-fashionable performer, but his authors signiture has taken something from the era of 30′s or 50′s years of previous century. “Fields Where They Lay” is interesting and smooth lullaby, and together with bonus instrumental track “Poets Prayer”, in brilliant way finalize complete album.
